REPORTER Why not start the new year off with a new job? The Jefferson City News Tribune, a seven-day-a-week Capital City newspaper, is looking to hire a state government reporter to join our award-winning team. As a state government reporter, youll be charged with focusing on issues and trends that specifically affect our Mid-Missouri readership. Statehouse topics can range from the pandemic to the environment to education to business to transportation. The specific duties include covering the Missouri executive branch and the state Senate, as well as two higher education institutions in the Jefferson City area and some general assignment tasks. We're looking for someone with a journalism degree or two to five years of experience in a newsroom. The position is a full-time position with benefits to include: 401k, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, and profit sharing, LTD, STD, vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, flexible spending account and health savings account. While reporters are currently working remotely due to the pandemic, relocation to the Jefferson City area is expected. This is a safety-sensitive position.
